Last May, over 160 representatives of Polish and Ukrainian companies from the logistics sector, road and rail carriers, logistics terminal operators, the National Revenue Administration of Poland, veterinary services, Polish and Ukrainian authorities, representatives of Ukrainian exporters met at the ARCHE hotel in Gdańsk. During the debates and backstage talks, the most crucial problems that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine caused to the country’s economy and global logistics chains were discussed. The meeting was an opportunity to establish new business contacts between companies from both countries, as well as to work out urgently needed solutions to the economic crisis that is the result of the Russian invasion.

Launching new logistic chains for Ukraine’s foreign trade is an urgent task necessary to ensure the country’s economic stability and global food security. The Polish logistics industry has already joined this process, but an international effort and involvement of public authorities and the European Union is necessary to minimise the investment risk. This was the conclusion of the debates that took place during the first edition of the Poland-Ukraine Business Meeting, jointly organised by the editors of IntermodalNews.pl, the Port of Gdansk Authority and the city of Lviv in 2022.

We would like to invite you to participate in the second edition of the Poland-Ukraine Business Meeting, which will take place on 19-20 October 2023. in Sopot. The war in Ukraine continues, there are new problems and new challenges to be faced. The meeting will be an opportunity not only to discuss and work on the necessary solutions, but also to assess the functioning of logistics chains since the beginning of the Russian invasion.
