Hotel Zamek Janów Podlaski **** September 27-29, 2022r
Meeting at the most important logistics centre of the region
The „Intermodal in Poland 2022” conference will take place in Janów Podlaski near Małaszewicze and Terespol. It is a continuation of the Railway Border Crossing conference, which was the largest event for the intermodal industry in Poland in 2021. The great interest in that event, fascinating debates and the involvement of participants made us decide to continue the organisation of the conference in Janów Podlaski. During the event, there will be discussions by representatives of the industry and authorities as well as presentations by experts. We have also planned accompanying activities that will be an opportunity for networking and having a good time.
The Małaszewicze Reloading Region is an important place on the map of global logistics chains and one of the best-known Polish towns among employees of the freight transport industry in Eurasia. The uniqueness of Małaszewicze is determined not only by its role as a logistics hub at the junction of various railway systems on the New Silk Road connecting China with Europe but also by a long and interesting history that influenced the shaping of this transhipment area. The logistic gateway of Europe is the perfect place for meeting of the intermodal industry.

About the conference
The event will be a meeting of representatives of the railway industry, logistics operators, intermodal terminal managing companies, representatives of the authorities and experts in freight transport. The aim of the presentations and panel debates will be to discuss the situation and investment needs of intermodal transport as well as the challenges for the Polish and world industry brought by the war in Ukraine, economic recovery after the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, and a long-term policy of decarbonisation and modal change in freight transport.
The conference will take place at the Bishop’s Castle in Janów Podlaski, which, apart from its historical and architectural values, offers excellent facilities for business events. As organisers, we would like the conference to be not only an opportunity for discussion and networking of industry representatives but also an opportunity to see what one of the most important railway border crossings in Europe looks like in practice. The Małaszewicze Reloading Region is an important place on the map of global logistics chains.
Last year’s intermodal conference in Janów Podlaski was attended by over 200 participants, representing transport companies, rail infrastructure and seaport managers, logistic terminal operators, freight forwarders, IT tools and technology providers for the logistics industry, tax and local government authorities. We are convinced that we will meet in an at least equally interesting group in September at the Intermodal in Poland conference.
A unique opportunity offered by the Intermodal in Poland conference will be visits to terminals in the Małaszewicze Reloading Region and talks with the managing companies of these facilities. It is an opportunity to look at the specifics of the functioning of this most important dry port on the New Silk Road. The gained experience will certainly bear fruit in business practice.
During the Intermodal in Poland conference, there will be discussed all the current challenges and problems faced by the logistics industry, investment plans in the public and private sectors as well as the prospects for the development of intermodal transport in the coming years. A selected group of conference participants will ensure the highest substantive level of debates and presentation sessions.
